More insights into Fajr Int’l jury

The 37th Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) has provided more insights into the jury grid of the six sections of the festival.

According to the Head of International Affairs Amir Esfandiari, the jury panel will enjoy acclaimed foreign filmmakers and producers as well as prominent Iranian cineastes who will judge the participating movies in six different sections.  

“The international section of the festival will have five foreign and two Iranian jury members on board”, said Esfandiari, adding that, “Other sections of the event including Eastern Vista, Interfaith and NETPAC will have between 3 to 5 jurors.”

Esfandiari also added that the final lineup of the 37th edition of Fajr International Film Festival includes 109 titles from 75 countries which were selected from among a total of 1400 titles submitted to the secretariat of the festival.

The 109 titles have been qualified to screen and compete in different sections of this year’s festival.

The festival will host over 255 international top-notch filmmakers, producers, guests, jurors, university scholars and film agents who will come together from 75 different countries in Iran.

The 37th edition of Fajr International Film Festival is set to be held in Tehran on April 18-26, 2019.
